Interference using telecoil

• Reduce sensitivity level to no
lower than 8
• Increase volume of receiver • Ask listener to reposition
(move closer to speaker
and away from any possible
sources of interference in the
room)
Travelling to a different
country
• Contact the FM manufacturer to make sure your radio channels
are permitted in that country – may need reprogramming (e.g. use
toaster and FM Successware for Phonak devices)
Background noise with
neckloop systems
• Reduce sensitivity level to no
lower than 8
• Ask listener to reposition
(move closer to speaker
and away from any possible
sources of interference in the
room). The noise is related to
the interaction of the telecoil
with the surrounding lighting,
computers or power packs in
the room
